Hackney Showroom is an arts and cultural centre with an exceptional programme of live performance, events, opportunities for young artists and community projects. As we approach our third year, we are expanding rapidly and are looking for two freelancers to join our team at this exciting time.

ADMIN & EVENTS
Supporting the directors with the administration of our events and hires.

Role:
– Supporting with events and hire enquiries and liaising with clients
– Conducting viewings, greeting clients, being a point of a call
– Contracting and invoicing
– Managing and maintaining the events schedule and hire brochure
– Supporting the directors with other administrational tasks
– 1-2 days a week, would suit freelancer with flexible working hours
– Daily rate: £100 per daySkills/experience needed:
– Experience in administration and events
– Strong communication skills
– Organised and efficient
– Good time management and able to work independently
– Office management
– Good computing skills

MARKETING OFFICER
Supporting the directors with the marketing of our programme:

Role:
– Putting shows on sale using our ticketing system
– Updating our WordPress website and putting new shows online
– Creating and scheduling social media posts
– Creating and sending a weekly newsletter
– Creating digital assets for web and social
– Analysing audience data
– 1-2 days a week, would suit freelancer with flexible working hours
– Daily rate: £100 per day

Skills/experience needed:
– Previous marketing experience
– Knowledge of digital marketing
– Experience of creating exciting social media content
– Confident with familiarising yourself with new software systems and applications
​- A knowledge of an interest in a contemporary arts and culture​ scene
– Basic web & design skills an advantage
