Community Centre
Welcome to our community centre. We collaborate with the KINGS CRESCENT RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION to offer a year round cultural community programme for our neighbourhood.
Kids Story Club
Tuesdays (term-time only) | 3.30–5.30pm | FREE
The world is a varied and colourful place and at our Kids Story Club your children can dive into our magical, inclusive drop-in library and see themselves reflected in the stories we have to offer.
Come lunch on our squishy bean bags, explore hundreds of beautiful books, enjoy some snacks and get stuck into a book-themed craft activity.
PLUS every month we curate an artist to bring a story to life at our Kids Story Club LIVE. The sessions are interactive and kids of all ages are invited to contribute, building confidence in their ideas and how to express them, whilst having fun and firing up their imaginations.
Upcoming Kids Story Club LIVE sessions are Tues 6 Oct & Tues 3 Nov with guest artist Indira Toussant. No booking needed, just turn up.
Indira is a poet, educator and youth practitioner whose work sits at the intersection of culture, language and storytelling. As co-founder of Twossaints, she creates spaces for young people to explore their imagination and self expression through creative practice.
Friday Lunch Club
Fridays (term time only) | 12–2pm | FREE
Welcome to the legendary Hackney Showroom Friday Lunch Club. Join us for a delicious, hearty, freshly cooked three course meal, served with a side of bingo, a generous glass of gossip and finished off with the occasional post-lunch dance. No pre-booking required.

We’re always interested to hear from local residents who would like to help out at Friday Lunch Club. All volunteers receive expenses and training. To ask about volunteering, to enquire about anything else or, if you live on/around Kings Crescent Estate and would like us to drop soup to you, get in touch.

Hosted by our Friday Lunch Clubbers, get your glad rags on and join us for our over 60s dance party with music courtesy of the Reverend Milo Speedwagon, delicious food and a little tipple. No booking required, just turn up.
Womens Meze Night

Brought to you by the Kings Crescent Turkish & Kurdish Womens Group, join us for an evening of food, music and dancing. The Meze Night is an opportunity for local women to get together and enjoy community in a warm and vibrant atmosphere and everyone is welcome.

Kings Crescent Family Fun Morning

Come along for an action packed morning with the Kings Crescent Residents Association and something for the whole family. From soft play to games, arts and crafts, music. We kick off with a SEN hour from 10–11am for a calmer, relaxed session with quieter spaces and understanding support, followed by a fun-filled session for everyone from 11am.

Come and shop for seasonal gifts and enjoy a glass of mulled wine! Plus plenty for kids with glitter tattoos, craft activity and even a visit from Santa.
