EDINBURGH PREVIEW
“What keeps you awake at night, Stacey Kay?”
Inspired by Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood and created in collaboration with photographer Jessica Mahaffey, Paragon Station is a frank and poetic trail of laughter and loneliness in a city near you- a glass jar listening at the door of the unheard.
Hester Arden’s debut show uses character monologues and projected film stills inspired by Cindy Sherman and Nan Goldin’s The Ballad of Sexual Dependancy as we wander through a Northern city at night, showcasing its brightest underdogs.
Hester Arden trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and has worked with UK’s foremost theatre producers including Northern Broadsides, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Hull Truck, Sheffield Theatres, Chichester Festival Theatre and the Orange Tree and has appeared on screen for the BBC, Granada and ITV. Her performances have received praise from many critics including the Guardian and the British Theatre guide. First previewed as part of the RADA Festival 2017.
