LOOKOUT – Performances

6 August | 12- 2pm | FREE

Created with local children over the course of two weeks, LOOKOUT is a one-to-one encounter between one adult audience member and one child performer. Two people of different ages, meeting and having a conversation. They’ll stand together high-up on a rooftop overlooking Hackney, looking out at the city and streets below, and begin to talk about its future. They’ll see before them the world as it is now and consider how it might be in the future.

LOOKOUT is created by artists Andy Field and Beckie Darlington. First created in Glasgow in 2015, versions of LOOKOUT have since been presented in towns and cities across the world, including Manchester, Shanghai, Cairo & Llandudno. In 2017 the project was awarded the Spirit of the Fringe award at the Auckland Fringe Festival in New Zealand.

All our projects are free and there is no expectation for you to pay. If you are in a position to make a donation, please do – you will be helping our charity to keep our programmes accessible and inclusive to all.

*Please note, we originally advertised the performances as also being on the 7 August, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
