Hackney Showroom Young Artists is a free, high level skills-based training programme for 18-25 year olds from Hackney, Haringey & Islington who are serious about a career in acting. The two term course runs on Tuesday evenings from 7-9.30pm.

Participants work with leading industry professionals covering a syllabus similar to that of drama school, developing a range of techniques such as: interpreting and analysing text including Shakespeare, classic and contemporary drama; vocal work; movement; improvisation; clowning; and audition practice.

This is a great opportunity for young people who – for whatever reason – may be unable to attend drama school, or as a foundation to enable entry into drama school or go straight into work.
